A few changes for the 11th edition
During the 2008 award ceremony, the President of the Board of Directors of the Literary Award, Mr. David Losier, announced that the 11th edition will take place during the Congrès mondial acadien, which will be held from August 7 to 23, 2009, in the Acadian Peninsula. "With the coming of this great event, 2009 will be a year of festivities for the Acadian community. The Congrès mondial acadien 2009 is a great opportunity to make the works of authors from our region known, and summertime is an ideal time to hold this type of event." commented Mr. Losier.
The exact date of the award ceremony will be announced at a later date. However, in order for this change to take place, adjustments will have to be made to the calendar of the literary contest, because the contest period will be shortened by five months. The 2009 literary contest will therefore take place between June 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008. Authors are therefore invited to submit their work for the next contest before December 31.
