Défi Golf Acadie donates $60,000 to the Fondation des caisses populaires acadiennes

The 12th Edition of the Défi Golf Acadie was held on July 18 at the Edmundston Fraser Golf Club. This year's success allowed us to raise $60,000 that was donated to the Fondation des caisses populaires acadiennes, thanks to the generosity of participants and nearly 40 partners.
Over 230 participants took part in this fundraising activity. The Défi Golf Acadie is a benefit tournament, which donates all of its profits to a provincial charitable organization. It is an excellent opportunity for companies to develop good business relationships with their customers and suppliers in a pleasant environment that is both practical and fun. Since it was first started, the Défi Golf Acadie has been held in different parts of the province and makes donations to different organizations. The total donated thus far is just over $174,000.
Next year, the 13th annual Défi Golf Acadie tournament will take place in the Westmorland area.

Twenty-five years ago, the Fondation des caisses populaires acadiennes had committed itself to support New Brunswick's education sector, through scholarships or educational projects.
The Fondation has kept its word as, over the years, it has granted scholarships to more than 2,000 students and has given substantial donations to colleges and universities.
The Fondation also supports the Lire, découvrir et grandir literacy program, which aims to help children from preschool up to second grade to attain an acceptable literacy level by the end of their second year of schooling.
Over half a million dollars was donated in the form of books to schools to encourage children to read, since the beginning of the program in 2005.
